Taj Malabar is situated on the nose of the Willingdon Island and is connected to the other islands on the western coast through inland waterways and road. The building orientation and design compliment and frame these sea views from all its rooms. However, these views were further enhanced in shared spaces to give a sense of the garden paradise that the hotel offers.

Our interventions aim to provide a serenity to the landscape elements to reflect the tranquillity of the seaside hotel and its landscape.

Interventions include redefining arrival experience for visual appreciation of the picturesque landscape, create a sense of direction through pathways and landscape edges, also re-establish continuity between different landscape experiences, creating varied degrees of enclosure in the El-Fresco area. Softscapes was revamped to enhance the skyline through a rhythm of trees.
